EDOC Health Australia — Membership Terms & Conditions

  1. Introduction

These Membership Terms & Conditions govern participation in the EDOC Health Australia membership program (“Membership Program”).

By joining the Membership Program, the member agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

EDOC Health Australia reserves the right to update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the Membership Program at any time.

  1. Membership Eligibility

Membership is available to:

  • Adults aged 18 years and over
  • International students
  • Temporary visa holders
  • Non-Medicare residents
  • Australian residents seeking private telehealth services

Members must provide accurate and current personal information.

Membership is not transferable.

  1. Nature of Services

EDOC Health Australia provides telehealth services for non-emergency and clinically appropriate primary care presentations only.

Membership does not guarantee:

  • unlimited healthcare,
  • emergency care,
  • hospital care,
  • specialist care,
  • prescription approval,
  • or availability of a specific doctor.

All healthcare services remain subject to clinical assessment and doctor discretion.

  1. Membership Benefits

Membership benefits may include:

  • discounted consultation fees,
  • priority booking access,
  • reduced fees for selected services,
  • promotional offers,
  • after-hours access options,
  • healthcare content and updates.

Specific benefits depend on the membership tier selected.

EDOC Health Australia may modify membership benefits at any time.

  1. Consultation Fees

Membership does not include unlimited free consultations unless explicitly stated under a specific membership plan.

Members may still be required to pay consultation fees, reduced member rates, or service fees.

All consultation fees are displayed before booking.

  1. Fair Use Policy

EDOC Health Australia memberships are intended for reasonable and personal healthcare use only.

Memberships must not be used excessively, abusively, fraudulently, or in a way that places unreasonable demand on clinical services.

EDOC Health Australia reserves the right to monitor usage patterns to ensure fair access for all members.

Examples of excessive or unreasonable use may include:

  • repeated unnecessary bookings,
  • excessive consultation frequency without clinical need,
  • misuse of prescriptions or certificates,
  • abusive or inappropriate conduct,
  • repeated missed appointments,
  • using multiple accounts,
  • attempting to share membership benefits with others.

Where EDOC reasonably believes usage is excessive or inappropriate, EDOC may:

  • limit bookings,
  • require longer appointment intervals,
  • suspend membership benefits,
  • request additional verification,
  • charge standard consultation rates,
  • or terminate membership.

Any fair use review will consider clinical circumstances and patient safety.

  1. Doctor Availability

EDOC Health Australia does not guarantee immediate doctor availability or same-day appointments at all times.

Appointment availability may vary depending on:

  • doctor schedules,
  • demand,
  • public holidays,
  • technical issues,
  • clinical requirements.
  1. Prescriptions, Referrals & Medical Certificates

Prescriptions, referrals, pathology requests, imaging requests, and medical certificates are issued only where clinically appropriate.

Membership does not guarantee:

  • prescription approval,
  • controlled medication prescribing,
  • specialist referral approval,
  • medical certificate approval,
  • or specific treatment outcomes.

All clinical decisions remain at the discretion of the consulting doctor.

  1. Emergency Situations

EDOC Health Australia is not an emergency service.

Members experiencing serious symptoms including chest pain, severe shortness of breath, stroke symptoms, suicidal crisis, severe bleeding, or medical emergencies should call 000 or attend the nearest emergency department immediately.

  1. Payments & Billing

Membership fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis according to the selected membership plan.

By subscribing, the member authorises EDOC Health Australia to process recurring payments using the nominated payment method.

Members are responsible for ensuring payment details remain current.

Failure to process payment may result in suspension or cancellation of membership benefits.

  1. Cancellation

Members may cancel their membership at any time.

Cancellation will stop future recurring charges but will not usually result in refunds for the current billing period unless required by law.

Membership benefits remain active until the end of the paid billing period.

  1. Refunds

Membership fees are generally non-refundable except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

Consultation fees may only be refunded at EDOC Health Australia’s discretion or where required by law.

  1. Privacy

EDOC Health Australia handles personal and health information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws and EDOC’s Privacy Policy.

Consultations and records are managed through secure healthcare systems.

  1. Limitation of Services

EDOC Health Australia provides telehealth services only.

Doctors may advise members to seek:

  • in-person medical review,
  • emergency care,
  • specialist care,
  • pathology,
  • imaging,
  • or hospital assessment where clinically appropriate.
  1. Membership Suspension or Termination

EDOC Health Australia reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership where:

  • there is misuse of services,
  • abusive behaviour,
  • fraudulent activity,
  • repeated missed appointments,
  • non-payment,
  • breach of these Terms,
  • or conduct affecting patient or staff safety.
  1. Changes to Membership Pricing

EDOC Health Australia may update membership pricing or benefits from time to time.

Members will be provided reasonable notice of material changes where practicable.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, EDOC Health Australia excludes liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the Membership Program.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded under Australian law.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia and the relevant State or Territory in which EDOC Health Australia operates.

Policy Updates

EDOC Health Australia may update this Terms of Use Policy from time to time to reflect operational, clinical, or regulatory requirements.
