EDOC Health Australia — Fair Use Policy

Purpose

The EDOC Fair Use Policy exists to ensure that membership services remain sustainable, accessible, and fair for all patients while supporting safe clinical care.

Fair Use Principles

EDOC memberships are designed to support reasonable healthcare access for genuine medical needs.

The Membership Program is not intended for:

excessive consultation use,
non-clinically necessary bookings,
repeated administrative requests,
misuse of prescriptions,
or unreasonable demand on doctors and clinical resources.

Reasonable Usage Expectations

The following are examples of typical reasonable use:

Membership Type

Expected Reasonable Usage

Basic Membership

Occasional consultations

Plus Membership

Low to moderate healthcare use

Premium Membership

Moderate ongoing healthcare use

Healthcare needs vary, and EDOC will always consider individual clinical circumstances.

Examples of Potential Misuse

Examples of usage that may trigger review include:

1.unusually high consultation frequency,
2.repeated daily or near-daily bookings,
3.repeated requests for certificates without clinical need,
4.repeated prescription requests without appropriate review,
5.abusive or inappropriate conduct,
6.attempting to share memberships,
7.using memberships for commercial or third-party purposes.

Fair Use Review Process

Where EDOC identifies potentially excessive or inappropriate usage, EDOC may:

Review the account internally
Contact the member for clarification
Discuss appropriate care pathways
Apply reasonable booking limitations
Recommend in-person GP review
Suspend or terminate membership if necessary

Any review will consider:

patient safety,
medical need,
continuity of care,
and fairness to other members.

Clinical Safety

Doctors may recommend:

longer consultations,
in-person examination,
specialist review,
emergency care,
or local GP follow-up where clinically appropriate.

Memberships are not intended to replace comprehensive ongoing face-to-face healthcare where required.

Booking Limits – 2 per month

EDOC Health Australia reserves the right to apply reasonable booking limits where necessary to maintain service quality and safe access for all patients.

Prescription & Certificate Monitoring

Prescriptions and medical certificates are monitored for safe and appropriate use.

Doctors may decline requests that are not clinically appropriate.

Community Protection

This Fair Use Policy helps EDOC:

maintain affordable pricing,
protect doctor availability,
support safe healthcare delivery,
and ensure fair access for all members.

Policy Updates

EDOC Health Australia may update this Fair Use Policy from time to time to reflect operational, clinical, or regulatory requirements.
