Fair Use Review Process
Where EDOC identifies potentially excessive or inappropriate usage, EDOC may:
Review the account internally
Contact the member for clarification
Discuss appropriate care pathways
Apply reasonable booking limitations
Recommend in-person GP review
Suspend or terminate membership if necessary
Any review will consider:
patient safety,
medical need,
continuity of care,
and fairness to other members.
Clinical Safety
Doctors may recommend:
longer consultations,
in-person examination,
specialist review,
emergency care,
or local GP follow-up where clinically appropriate.
Memberships are not intended to replace comprehensive ongoing face-to-face healthcare where required.
Booking Limits – 2 per month
EDOC Health Australia reserves the right to apply reasonable booking limits where necessary to maintain service quality and safe access for all patients.
Prescription & Certificate Monitoring
Prescriptions and medical certificates are monitored for safe and appropriate use.
Doctors may decline requests that are not clinically appropriate.
Community Protection
This Fair Use Policy helps EDOC:
maintain affordable pricing,
protect doctor availability,
support safe healthcare delivery,
and ensure fair access for all members.
